8/29

Can't believe a month has passed since my last update. That went by fast.

2 new places from our weekend Adirondack Mountain trip - abandoned Hoffman Cemetery and the ghost town of Tahawus (or Adirondak, pick one).

I don't know if the site will be updated as much as usual this fall & winter. I will be a full time student for the first time in years. Grants are a wonderful thing.
...so if things are quiet around here until the end of the year, don't panic.

...also, site photos will be appearing in a third book. I was contacted by a Belgian writer who wanted to use the photo of Mercy Brown's grave. I'll post more info about the book once I get it.

7/30

Made up a WV/OH/IN page for the Site Trips section.

7/25

5 new places up from my trip last week:

Palace of Gold, WV
West Virginia Penitentiary
Knob Prairie Cemetery, OH
Needmore Pyramid Ruins, IN
Bluespring Caverns, IN

In addition, updated FAQs.

7/16

Explored a big ol' house this weekend - the Kislak Mansion. How I went to college up the street from it and never heard of it I'll never know.

6/30

In before midnight = update for June. 2 new places: Forest Castle and Treasure Island.

6/28

This past weekend I met Maddox at his book signing in Bridgewater. He was kind enough to let me get a picture for the site.

It's probably going to be pretty quiet around here until the fall. Between the heat and our house hunting, I have no idea when I'll be going out again. Summer's always been a slow time for the site anyway.
Again, if you want to hear of any new places or updates, sign up for the mailing list (now ad free!).
Also, the message board is really picking up.

5/31

2 new small things from when we went camping up in the Poconos 2 weeks ago - Marie Zimmermann House & Bushkill Falls.

The boards passed 3000 posts a few days ago. Thanks for keeping 'em going.

A reminder that the 2 new site sections, Site Trips and One Shots, are up.

Another reminder that the new mailing list is far better than the previous. Sign up in the left column. Again, it is ad-free this time around. Everyone from the old list was carried over, so there's no need to sign up again.

Ch-ch-ch Changessss

Hey, it's Annie! I took over updating the front page this time because I spent a while making some changes to the site. Nothing really drastic, but a few minor ones that really needed to be done. That sidebar on the left wasn't working with all resolutions so it had to go. New sections that Stu has been promising have been put up; Site Trips and One Shots. Also added a contact button at the top here. Also for those that are part of our mailing list, I've moved us to a different company because Bravenet, well, it sucks. Any newsletters from now on will not have silly ads on them.

I understand that the random images on the "Places" and "Other" pages may not fit into your browser window if you are on a lower resolution, but I did the best I could. Besides, you should get with the times! 800x600 is soo 1998. Muah.
