Couple of announcements:

New place up - Alloway's Rock.

I've been going through the site and have decided some places no longer belong on here. Some are just too plain, too boring, or just unnecessary. I have put together a list of places that will probably be coming down pretty soon.

With such factors as the heat, insane amounts of ticks and greenhead flies, overgrowth, and ridiculous gas prices, it's probably going to be a quiet summer for the site. We've tried going out a few times the past few weeks, and it hasn't been fun. I never was much for exploring in summer; the other 3 seasons are much better in my opinion. I'm probably going to put off geocaching until autumn as well.

The 3 places from last weekend are up. The first is another ghost town turned park - Smithville. The other 2 are from our trip to Bucks County, PA - Ringing Rocks & Revolutionary Graves in someone's front yard.

Just a reminder that the forum is back up. We still have to upload the avatar & smiley packs, as well as get a new skin for it.

Concerning the host move, I think the website itself has finished moving. The forum is still having a few compatibility troubles, but we hope to have that all sorted out sometime soon. Once again, yes the board is being moved; we're not starting it over. I think the email is still propagating as well. I'm already impressed with the new host; the pages load much faster than before.

There will be a few new places added after this is all done.

This past weekend was spent in New York, where I took over 200 photos. On Friday we visited Secret Caverns, Howe Caverns, and Pratt Rock.
On Saturday we revisited Sleepy Hollow Cemetery and took a lot of new photos.
We got home around 1:30 Sunday, only to wake up a few hours later to head out to the abandoned fish factory, aka "The Stinkhouse".
There are also new photos of the Sex Plant.

...yeah, I've been busy.

There's a new mailing list. I canned the Yahoo Group thing; it just wasn't what I expected it to be. All I wanted was a simple mailing list for the site, not a second message board.
For this one any email address can sign up, whereas with the group thingie you had to have a Yahoo ID, which was annoying. I decided to not be a tool and just drop the Yahoo crap. Plus having their logo on my front page just wasn't sitting well with me.
The only gripe I have about the new one is that it has some text ads, but whatever.

You can sign up for it at the bottom of the page.

Yeah, I finally went up north for a change. Dawe, John, & I went to the Union Cemetery and also found quite a few things along Old Mine Road. We also revisited Stone Living Room.

Went to update the Hut of the Gatherers today, only to find out it's gone. We did find something else though. Check it out.
