The Ghost Girl's House

8/03

Man, I wish I had an abandoned place in my backyard. I found this place behind my grandpa's house out in Indiana. Nobody there knew how old it was or what happened here, but I did find out a neat lil' story attached to the place. I included it at the bottom.

Getting in took a bit of work....I had to climb through a window with a few boards across it. Fortunately my skinny self fit through just fine. There was no way I could get upstairs, since the staircase was kind of non-existant.

So here goes the story...almost your typical ghost story, but I liked it anyway. Supposedly, a girl was chased out of this house by her father. A bit down the hill from the house is a large tree; this is where our protagonist is killed by her father. Not sure how, but I'm bettin' on hatchet. Nice & bloody. Anyway.......This took place on a Saturday. So every Saturday night at midnight, the girl is supposed to go from her house to my grandpa's house and enter the room with a mirror to look at herself........this happened to be the same room I was staying in. Go me. She's also allegedly been spotted inside her house a few times as well.
I'm sure the story is fake; walking around inside the place, I realized it was probably a shed or barn and not an actual house. And why would the girl go to someone else's house to look at a mirror? That right there breaks nearly every rule of ghost stories, not to mention ghost etiquette. How rude.
When my cousins asked me if I was worried about seeing the girl, since I was staying in 'her' room, I just shrugged, "Maybe she'll be hot."
I never saw her either. Go figure.
