Feminism 101
This is taken from my Livejournal (7/04).
I don't remember signing up for Women In Literature
My English teacher is ok, but I'm really fed up with the entire feminism bullshit. This is English II, not Women in Lit. How fitting for a professor with a hyphenated last name.
Since Day One it's been nothing but 'victimization of women' this or 'she killed her husband' that. I don't care. In half of these stories the women are just moody bitches who want what they can't have. True, in some of the stories the husbands or guys or whatever are asses and deserve to be left or killed or whatever. But for the most part, the woman is an immature girl who doesn't realize just how good she has it. Is this really the emphasis of feminism? It's ok to abandon your children? Cheating is fine if you feel suppressed? Bullshit. Whore.
In the novel we're reading, the wife cheats on her husband while he's on a business trip, sells his house, and is in love with yet a third man. And we have to write about how she's victimized?! Bullshit! Selfish bitch. Is this how feminists really think?
I never said you couldn't vote. I never said men were greater. I never said beating wives was a pastime of mine; although if I was married to or dating one of the 'victims' I'm forced to read about, I'd surely consider it. For the most part, I feel men are pretty shitty. So why is this propoganda being shoved down my academic throat? I believe in free speech and all that jazz, but shut the fuck up already.
OK, back to reading my "it's ok if I cheat cuz I'm sad" novel.
Don't be sexist; bitches hate that.
